All services have some exclusions to define the areas they care for, but don’t worry, most of the time the exclusions are included in another service. The following are the exclusions to the British Gas Homecare plans.

Homecare 100 exclusions

• PowerFlush – this is an improvement service that removes sludge and other waste matter from your system by flushing out your pipes and radiators, improving performance and efficiency.
• Your central heating system, including radiators, pipework, cylinders and tanks

Homecare 200 exclusions

• PowerFlush – this is an improvement service that removes sludge and other waste matter from your system by flushing out your pipes and radiators, improving performance and efficiency.

Homecare 300 exclusions

• PowerFlush – this is an improvement service that removes sludge and other waste matter from your system by flushing out your pipes and radiators, improving performance and efficiency
• Repairing or replacing taps and washers in taps
• Repairing or replacing the mains cold water stopcock, water softeners, shower pumps and mixer valves, mechanical pumps, water filters and macerators
• Repairing or replacing swimming pools, decorative garden features, rainwater pipes and guttering
• Routine cleaning of drains
• Repairing or replacing soakaways, cesspits, septic tanks, treatment plants and their outflow pipes
• Repairing, replacing or restoring flow in shared drains or drains outside the boundary of your property

Homecare 400 exclusions

• Repairing or replacing taps and washers in taps
• Repairing or replacing the mains cold water stopcock, water softeners, shower pumps and mixer valves, mechanical pumps, water filters and macerators
• Repairing or replacing swimming pools, decorative garden features, rainwater pipes and guttering
• Routine cleaning of drains
  Repairing or replacing soakaways, cesspits, septic tanks, treatment plants and their outflow pipes
• Repairing, replacing or restoring flow in shared drains or drains outside the boundary of your property
• Repairing controls, pumps, timers and programmers which are not part of your central heating system
• Repairing or replacing the mains supply
• Repairing the power supply between your home and outbuildings on your property
• Work that is needed to bring your system up to current safety regulations, such as rewiring
• Repairing detectors

Home Electrical Care exclusions

• Repairing controls, pumps, detectors, timers and programmers
• Repairing or replacing the mains supply
• Repairing the power supply between your home and outbuildings on your property
• Work that is needed to bring your system up to current safety regulations, such as rewiring

Kitchen Appliance Care exclusions

• Cooker hoods and extractors
• Appliances bought outside of the United Kingdom
