Since 1st January 2005, all electrical work must now comply with the Building Regulations. This new requirement has been introduced to cut down the number of accidents to householders associated with badly installed electrics. All British Gas electrical engineers are now registered under the Building Regulations Part P’s ‘Competent Person Scheme’. There’s no need for you to obtain building regulations approval to any electrical work they carry out, as British Gas will issue you with the required certificate, saving you time and effort and considerable costs.
When you buy British Gas Home Electrical Care they will ensure that
- your home electrics are safe and in good working order as British Gas offer a safety and maintenance inspection for your electrics every two years at no additional cost
- you will have no unexpected costs as all labour, parts and call out to repair electrical fixture and fittings are included with no limit to cost or number of call outs
- all electrical work will be carried out by fully qualified electrical engineers
